From humble beginnings at the back of Shroff & Sons on Hobson Street to our move in 2007 to Quay Street, and finally to our current purpose-designed premises in Nugent Street, Grafton, we have evolved alongside our loyal customers and the growing demands of the industry.

In 2018, Raj and Anita took over the business from Graham, John and Jimmy. Since then, they’ve provided fresh offerings and modernised systems where necessary while maintaining the values that have been at the heart of City Power Tools for decades. With their leadership, the team has grown, and now boasts over 80 years of combined experience in power tools service and knowledge.

Today City Power Tools hold a large range of professional power tool brands including Makita, Bosch, Milwaukee, Hikoki, Paslode, Dewalt and Festool. And we haven’t stopped there. In our quest to provide the Right Gear, we hold a vast range of high quality Powertool accessories. 

Relationships are at the heart of what we do. We are dedicated to working alongside the tradespeople and construction companies to ensure powertool downtime is kept to a minimum. To achieve this, our experts provide Honest Advice to equip you with the right information to make timely decisions. You might not always like our answer, and sometimes it will be unbeneficial for us as well, however, like all good relationships, the truth should always come out.
